  • Qualification & Experience : M.Sc. in Horticulture with specialisation in floriculture and landscaping with ≥60% marks with 9 years or more experience in Floriculture and landscaping/ornamental gardening.
  • Nature of Work : Designing, developing and maintaining landscape gardens, afforestation, floriculture.

  • Number of post : One (01)
  • Qualification : Ph.D Physics (Doctoral work should be related to extensive usage of X-rays at a high energy synchrotron beam line) with MSc Physics with ≥ 60% marks from a recognized university.
  • Experience desirable : At least one year experience on a synchrotron with the capability of independent operation and maintenance of a (preferably EDXRD) beam line.
  • References : One reference from the Institute where experience on working on a synchrotron based x-ray diffraction beam line was obtained and another one from the institute where post doctoral work was carried out.
  • Nature of Work : To maintain EDXRD beamline and carry out experimental research employing X-ray diffraction beamline at Indus-2 synchrotron, RRCAT, Indore.

  • Qualification : Ph.D in the area of thin film science and technology from reputed University/Institute with publications in reputed academic peer reviewed international journals with MSc Physics with ≥ 60% marks from a recognized university.
  • Experience desirable : Experience in any of the following areas
    Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) and characterization techniques 2 with hands on experience.Multilayer thin film physics or device design Experience in R&D activities related to the work profile and knowledge of computational methods will be highly desirable.
  • Nature of work : i) Research and Development (R&D) activities at BARC, in developing multilayer thin film and photonic devices for Laser, Xray and neutron physics based pplications. ii) Dealing with various PVD (Electron Beam and Magnetron sputtering systems) and thin film characterization equipments (AFM, STM, GIXR, Ellipsometry, Spectrophotometry etc) with operational and data analysis responsibilities. iii) Numerical Design and analysis of multilayer thin film devices for laser, synchrotron and neutron physics based applications.

  • Qualification : Ph.D in the area of Applied optics or photonics or optical Engineering from reputed University/Institute with publications in reputed academic peer reviewed international journals with MSc Physics with ≥ 60% marks from a recognized university. Experience desirable : Experience in any of the following areas:
    Holography and/or Interferometry
    Optical Design, Fibre optics and optical Meteorology
  • Hands-on experience in the areas of Optical Instrumentation and Techniques and computational methods will be highly desirable.
  • Nature of Work : • Research and Development (R&D) activity at BARC, Vizag in developing precision refractive and diffractive optical elements/components, Aspheric optics, Photonics devices and optical instruments. • Dealing with various optical instruments, lasers, interferometers, equipment for testing/characterizing optical components. • Numerical optical design, simulation, analysis of optical components, instruments, elements, devices and subsystems • Development of Photonic and Grating-wave-guide based optical devices.

  • Qualification & Experience : B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Mechanical disciplines with ≥60% marks from a recognized University with 4 years experience. Work experience should be in the area of plant operation and maintenance of chemical/petrochemical plants or thermal power stations or related facilities/plants.
  • Nature of Work : Operation and maintenance in nuclear recycle facilities. The work will involve shift duty.

NOTE: Candidates with M.E/M.Tech. in Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Mechanical disciplines with ≥60% marks from a recognized University with 2 years experience will be considered for appointment as Scientific Officer/D.

  • Number of Posts : One (01) OBC
  • Qualification & Experience : B.Sc. in Maths/Physics/Chemistry with ≥60% marks and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with ≥60% marks from a recognised University with 5 years working experience in a reputed Scientific Publishing House or an R&D Institution. Should have good command over both spoken and written English as well as basic knowledge of publishing principles both in hardcopy and electronic formats; familiarity with Desk Top Publishing and publishing software. Should also possess a proven track record of working effectively in a team environment and meeting publication deadlines and fine networking skills.
  • Nature of Work : Expected to write, edit and proof read Scientific and Technical information in the field of nuclear science and engineering. Responsible for all aspects of pre-publication work and co-ordinate with all printing related activities.

  • Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Information Technology from a recognised University with ≥ 60% marks with programming skills and knowledge in the areas of ; (a) RDBMS like MySQL, PostgreSQL and MSSQL etc. (b) Programming language like PHP, JSP, ASP, TUML, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, XML and XHTML etc. (c) Web 2.0, rich text website design and Open Source packages customization etc. (d) Enterprise Windows and RedHat/Scientific Linux Environment (e) Digital object archival and management.
  • Experience desirable : Two years experience in programme coding, testing and deployment using above skills and programming languages. Able to work efficiently in a team environment and meet deadlines for web development and digital archival processing.
  • Nature of Work : Responsible for designing websites using recent technologies and have to handle all the work related to multimedia archival activity.
